Confirmation Prep takes place on Sundays following the 5:00pm Mass (note: this Mass changes to 5pm on Sunday, September 6th) from 6:00-7:30pm.Please plan to attend the 5:00pm Mass as a family, if you can; if you cannot attend as a family, you may attend earlier in the day or on Saturday evening and your student will come to confirmation directly at 6pm!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to proclaim the life-changing love of God in a way which is accessible and helps lead young people to a deep, lasting relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ and His Church. In a special way, the Confirmation preparation time will be a time of formation and preparation for this Sacrament which can and should be a time of authentic encounter with Jesus Christ leading to a lifelong relationship with Him and His Church.

Baptismal Records

Each candidate must provide a copy of his/her Baptismal Certificate to the Confirmation Ministry Office before the student enters the Confirmation II program  year. If your student was baptized or made their First Holy Communion at St. Mary Church, it is not necessary to provide a copy of the Baptismal Certificate, only the date of the Baptism.

If your student was not baptized here at St. Mary a certificate may be obtained by calling the church where your child was baptized and asking for a copy of the certificate. If you wish and the baptismal church allows it, the certificate can be mailed directly from the church of baptism to St. Mary Church.

Students who were baptized in a country other than the United States of America should start the process of obtaining a certificate now.

If you have difficulty obtaining a new certificate, please contact  Patti Kuffner, the Youth Ministry Secretary, in the Youth Ministry Office at (847) 669-5612 and we will do our best to assist you in finding this.
